Narrating the incident, an elder son of the deceased, Gafaru, said the suspect is noted for a deviant behaviour.

According to him, Adama had persistently been threatening members of the family until his latest action.

Gafaru explained that Adama and Nechema had a misunderstanding over a bowl of soup, which their father tried to resolve.

He said the soup was prepared by Nachema, but Adama was incensed when he returned home to realise he was not left any.

According to Gafaru, Adama took a gun and shot both his father and younger brother, the former dying on the spot.

Graphic Online reports that while Nechema survived the attack, he is currently on admission at the Kintampo Hospital after receiving several bullets to his behind.
