Top 5 songs Anokye Supremo recorded before his death (Videos)

As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Highlife singer Anokye Supremo has passed away.

The singer, popularly known as Daddy Lumba Junior, had been fighting for his life after being diagnosed with a brain tumour in Ghana.

After a passionate appeal to Ghanaians for funds to undergo a surgery to remove the tumour, Supremo was flown to India in December 2018.

His surgery, however, developed some complications and left him in a coma for weeks as surgeons tried to revive him.

But Supremo gave up the ghost on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.

According to Zak, Supremo's friend who was looking after him in India, the Highlife musician had been recovering well last Saturday (January 26, 2019) but suffered a relapse on Monday, January 28, 2019, and died days after.

While tributes have been pouring in since the news of Supremo's death surfaced online attesting to his popularity, there are some who are not too familiar with the works of Supremo as a musician.

In fact, many only know him as a Daddy Lumba 'wannabe' or the guy who sings and acts like Daddy Lumba even though Supremo released some very good songs of his own.
