- He also opined that the bitumen sprayer will help save cost when it comes to the construction of roads in the country
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Okaikoi South Constituency, Ahmed Arthur, has invented a hand-held, bitumen spraying machine.
The machine makes it easy to spray bitumen on the road before applying the gravels to the surface.
Speaking at a gathering to showcase his invention, the legislator said he did it as a result of his knack for solving problems.
He explained that the bitumen sprayer will help save cost when it comes to the construction of roads in the country.
“I am one person who always wants to solve problems. Solving a problem puts a smile on somebody’s face and that gives me satisfaction,” Mr. Arthur said.
“I took it upon myself to investigate what goes into road construction and how I can reduce cost by using equipment the hitherto we did not thing of using.
“I did a little research and I got an idea about how to develop a bitumen sprayer machine… it is a machine that I built myself, from beginning to end.”
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians on social media praised the MP for taking time off his busy schedules to invent such a machine.
