Performance of new Black Stars debutant Eugene Ansah shows CK Akonnor was right

25-year-old Eugene Ansah footballer playing at Hapoel Ra'anana in Israel who has been called for the first time to join the Ghana national football team the Black Stars has had sterling performances that show the Coach CK Akonnor was right in picking him.

In a particular video sighted by YEN.com.gh, the young Ghanaian player who used to play for the Ghanaian club Liberty Professionals FC scored an eye-popping goal.

The singular goal portrays so much tact, confidence, hard work and skill which can make one ask why he Eugene has never been called into the Black Stars' team until now.

It would be recalled that YEN.com.gh reported how Charles Kwablan (CK) Akonnor has named his first squad since being appointed as Black Stars coach.

The former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko boss has named a 23-man provisional squad for Ghana double header AFCON qualifier against Sudan.

CK Akonnor announced the squad during a press conference held at the Accra City Hotel on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. CK Akonnor’s squad, however, included four players who ply their trades in the Ghana Premier League.

They are Aduana Stars’ Yahaya Mohammed, Hearts of Oak’s Richard Attah, Ashanti Gold’s Kwadwo Amoako and Asante Kotoko’s Habib.

In other news, top Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan has revealed how he chose Ghana's AFCON in 2008 over a massive deal with Manchester City

Gyan also reveals he was heavily attacked by Ghanaians for a 'shoddy performance' when he decided to choose Ghana over Man City which made him want to leave the camp

According to the striker, then-president Kuffour was the one who intervened and prevented him from leaving.
