The two-year-old marriage of Ghanaian actress, Bibi Bright, and her husband, Akwasi Boateng, is on the brink of collapse, reports sighted YEN.com.gh have suggested.
According to the reports that were started by a publication in the Graphic Showbiz, Bibi Bright is seriously considering divorce after catching her husband cheating.
Akwasi Boateng is reported to have had an affair with an actress and this has got Bibi Bright, who is the executive secretary of the Creative Arts Council, very livid.
"As we speak now, things are not okay between them and they are planning to divorce. I am very close to them and I know they can never come back together again.
"Bibi and Akwasi have known each other for years and were madly in love, but not since the cheating took place. There is tension between them at the moment and family members have tried their best to resolve the situation, but it looks like nothing is working out,” the original report quoted a friend to have said.
Bibi Bright and Akwasi Boateng got married on 15 July 2018 after dating for some time.
Prior to their marriage, the actress had described her husband as the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
“I have known Akwasi Boateng for the past 18 years and I can proudly say that he is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. I didn’t hesitate to accept his proposal because he is a great guy,” the actress said in an interview.
Bibi Bright and Akwasi Boateng have two children, all girls. While the first was born in March 2018, the second was born exactly seven months after they tied the knot.
It will be Bibi Bright's second divorce if she goes ahead, as she first got married some eight years.
