As the world watches Trump and Biden battle it out to become leader of the 'free world', many seem to have forgotten the other high-profile candidate in the running, Kanye West.

The rapper took to social media to express how excited he was to vote for himself on election day, 3 November. He also revealed that he would be voting for the first time in his life. The revelation was a startling one, as he had previously endorsed Donald Trump's administration.

He posted on Twitter:

"God is so good. Today I am voting for the first time in my life for the President of the United States, and it's for someone I truly trust... me."

His tweet was met with mixed reactions from social media users. Twitter user ericxplackis said:

"Vote Trump out of office."

AngelaBelcamino said:

"What a waste of your vote."

ArtellaBella said:

“I voted for you yesterday in Minnesota!!! it was wonderful seeing your name on our ballot!!! #Kanye2020”

Briefly.co.za had previously reported that the US born-again rapper Kanye West still believes he has a chance of becoming the 46th president of United States. The rapper released another campaign video and this time it was his voters who were selling his resume and showing support for their celebrity star.

The video showed young men and women from different races giving reasons as to why they were voting for Kanye in the November elections. One of the male voters said:

"I'm voting for Kanye because I think this nation needs a strong leader with ideas, good ideas that can progress us not liberal or conservative but just like fact and Kanye is that guy."

Another female voter said:

"I'm supporting Kanye for president, as a young Christian I am proud that my vote is going towards a campaign that is faith-based and a candidate who cares about empowering the youth of America."

In the end, the rapper showed that he had the support of the older generation as a white lady also vowed to support his bid.
