Man City moves to bring former United star Lukaku back to English League

- Romelu Lukaku is wanted back in the Premier League by Manchester City

- The Etihad Stadium wants the Belgian as a replacement for Sergio Aguero

- Both Fernandinho and Eric Garcia might also leave them this summer

Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku has reportedly emerged as a top transfer target for Premier League giants this summer.

The Belgian forward joined the Italian League title contenders from Manchester United in August 2019 in a deal valued at around €74 million.

He has already scored 51 goals and nine assists in 73 appearances for Antonio Conte's side since his move about two seasons back.

The former Chelsea attacker has now been tipped to return to the Premier League with the Citizens showing interest in him.

Daily Mail reports that the Etihad Stadium outfit is planning to spend a huge sum of £200 million when the transfer window opens at the end of this current campaign.

The publication claims City are planning for life after Sergio Aguero whose contract with them expires in June this year.

Borussia Dortmund youngster Erling Haaland is another name they have penned they have penned down for a possible transfer this summer.

Besides Aguero, Fernandinho and Eric Garcia are the other possible players who could leave the Etihad this season and the club is already making plans to replace them.

The Spanish defender is said to have agreed to rejoin Barcelona while Fernandinho might not be handed a new deal owing to his advanced age.

Last November, City were boosted by manager Guardiola's decision to extend his contract by two years to 2023 after growing speculation into his future.

The Spanish manager has won two Premier League titles since arriving at the Etihad Stadium in 2016, along with three Carabao Cup titles and the 2019 FA Cup.

City have also been linked with a move for Barcelona captain and global superstar Lionel Messi over the past six months, with the Argentinian's Nou Camp contract expiring this year.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Barcelona has joined in the race to sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero as he enters the last six months in his contract at the Etihad.

The Argentine international is free to talk to other clubs and Barca are keen on the former Atletico Madrid star.

The 32-year-old has not been offered a new contract at City and by the end of the season, he would have spent ten years with the Manchester-based club.
