Chrissy Teigen quits Twitter after writing lengthy thread about negativity

Chrissy Teigen has deleted her Twitter account after she spoke about being tired of dealing with negativity from people online. The 35-year-old model has had enough of social media and is opting out.

Chrissy is known for speaking her mind on Twitter and would go viral often on the micro-blogging app. On Wednesday, 24 March, Chrissy wrote a series of tweets detailing why she's saying goodbye to Twitter.

"It's time for me to say goodbye. This no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think that's the right time to call something," said Chrissy.

The model said that she considered her followers her friends but she's not the "clap back" girl that she used to be anymore. She added that she feels pain when she can't make people happy.

Chrissy said that she was sensitive and she just can't deal with the drama that comes with being on Twitter anymore.

"I don't wanna be this way! I just am! But I love you guys and I cherish our time together, I truly do. I also hate you," she said.

Chrissy has now deleted her Twitter account and her fans are wondering if she might be making a return someday. For now, the model is done with Twitter, she's still active on other social media sites.
