Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, on Monday, March 29, extolled President Nana Akufo-Addo’s commitment to public service as he celebrates his 77th birthday.
In a tweet sighted by YEN.com.gh, Mrs. Bawumia described the septuagenarian Ghanaian president as a man of “bold vision, integrity and a passion to serve our dear nation.”
Mrs. Bawumia’s message to the president generated a lot of reactions as others also took turns to wish the president well.

In other news, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu denied stating that Nana Asante Bediatuo, the secretary to President Akufo-Addo, wrote unilaterally the letter slashing the budget estimates for the legislature and the judiciary.
According to the Majority Leader who is also the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, he never said the letter cutting the budget estimates was unilaterally written by Asante Bediatuo.
There has been a Ghs77million and over Ghs119million slash in the estimates presented by the Judiciary and Judicial Service and the Legislature respectively.
According to the presidency, the decision to slash the estimates was necessitated by the country’s current economic challenges.
