Social media users have reacted to an emerging video of a prison that has facilities usually found in a 5-star hotel.
The trending video which was shared on Twitter by @ayemojubar showed the inside of a mini prison facility in Norway.
In what came as a huge surprise to many Nigerians, the facility has a standard studio for recording music, an exquisite sitting room with cushion furniture, a television set and a nice eatery.
Prisoners there also use washing machine, dryer, wardrobes and other benefits usually obtainable in well-to-do homes.
Nigerians marvelled at the beautiful site, some frowned at it stressing that having such in the country will only encourage crimes.
@007burch said:
"Build this in Nigeria, and you'd see people commit crimes just to go lounge here. Our situations are different. This can only happen where life outside is better than prison.
"BTW, if we have an effective criminal justice system, more than half our population will be in prison."
@enos_hillary reacted:
"Nigeria can only be a serious country with reasonable government when we start seeing good hospitals and a well built schools. It will take Nigeria 100yrs to get to where Norway is."
@TaylorMulla wrote:
"But do yah know that if Nigerians enjoy half of what Norway government gives to dia citizens you will see no Nigerian in any prison in this our country
"Wen life is hard you think of crime dose Norway citizens in prison can’t stay a day in our country.''
