It is said that the future is female, so women in all spheres are taking up roles and doing things that most men are believed to be cut out to do.
Our Manifesto: This is what YEN.com.gh believes in
It also takes a real man to support the dreams and ambitions of their spouses or partners to be the best they can in society.
These female members of parliament cannot completely write their political stories well without the support of their husbands.
In view of this, YEN.com.gh has compiled the list of the bold men who are support systems and have supported these seven female MPs in parliament.
1. Ursula Owusu
The member of Parliament who doubles as the minister of communications and digitisation is married to a UK-based Ghanaian optometrist, Dr Sam Ekuful and they are blessed with a child.
She hardly flaunts him on her social media but there is no doubt they love each other a lot as she makes the efforts to promote his business.
2. Adwoa Safo Kantanka
The Member of Parliament for the Dome-Kwabenya constituency is married to Hanny Mouhtiseb with whom she recently welcomed a child.
There is no doubt the both of them are so much in love with each other as their pictures on social media say it all.
3. Nana Dokua Asiamah
The member of parliament for the Akuapem North constituency, Nana Dokua Asiamah is married to Charles Bissue, the former secretary to the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining aka the Galamsey task force.
Their union is blessed with a sweet little boy
4. Dzifa Gomashie
The Member of Parliament for the Ketu South constituency, Dzifa Abla Gomashie was until recently married to the late Brigadier General Martin K.G Ahiaglo(Rtd).
Until his unfortunate death in 2019, he had been such a strong force behind her in her political journey despite being a military man.
5. Lydia Alhassan
This list would not be complete without adding the late Kyeremanteng Agyarko who was the seating MP for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency until his demise in 2019.
After his death, his wife took over as the MP until she won the 2020 elections to retain the seat.
It is clear that despite the intelligence of Lydia Seyram Alhassan, she learned a lot with regards to governance from her husband.
6. Francisca Oteng
The Member of Parliament for the Kwabre East Constituency, Francisca Oteng recently got married to Kwadwo Adade Amponsah in a colourful ceremony on Sunday, February 14, 2021.
He is the fine young man behind one of the youngest female MPs in Ghana's parliament.
7. Della Sowah
The Member of Parliament for the Kpando Constituency, Della Sowah is married to an amazing man with whom she has three children.
Della Sowah can be described as one who enjoys being in the company of her husband. And oh, they take lovely photos too.
