Viral Photos Show Building Constructed With Bags of Sand, Many People React

- Photos of a maternity ward built in the desert with the use of just sand has stirred conversation online

- People were divided between groups who thought it was an amazing concept and those who called it mediocre

- Ganiyu Olatunde Akintayo who shared the photos said the concept show how one has to make headways no matter the condition

Photos of a primary health centre built with sandbags have created much buzz online as people had a lot to say about the structure.

The snaps were shared by a man named Ganiyu Olatunde Akintayo on LinkedIn who said the construction is a maternity ward in Chad.

One of the pictures showed men inserting bags of sands like blocks to lay the foundation for the building.

Another has the men placing the bags on each other to form a round-like building. The end result of the craftmanship looks stunningly white. One may easily mistake it for a house constructed with blocks.

Ganiyu wrote:

"The people of #Katafa in Chad built a maternity hospital based on desert sand. Like what, you have to know how to use your difficulties as assets."

After that, we want to be respected by other peoples on this earth... "

Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that a civil engineer, Ahmed Yahaya, who became popular after using thousands of bottles to build a house spoke more about what influenced his decision to go through with that kind of recycling.
