A man identified as Shingirai Nyakabawu has inspired people on social media with his throwback and recent photos after bagging his PhD.

Shingirai took to his LinkedIn page to share the photos and simply wrote:

"My last ten years. From the village to PhD."

Ten years ago, the man was just a village boy and today he is a doctorate holder. The young man's post caused quite a stir as some shared their opinions on it.

Wilfred Lindalo said:

"Kudos for the achievement. I must admit I failed to understand the correlation between your coming from a village and your PhD. I know a handful of people in a village in Southern Africa with PhDs though, and many others with none who have achieved a lot yet proud to have done it whilst staying put in their villages.Whatever you aim at can surely be achieved from anywhere."

It was previously reported that a woman identified as Gloria Mensah celebrated her achievement after bagging a PhD. She took to social media to share the good news.

Sharing adorable photos on her LinkedIn page, Gloria expressed gratitude to all those who helped her all through her PhD journey.
