Soul singer Kelvin was last night crowned winner of MTN’s music reality show Hitmaker Season 5 which was live at the National Theatre in Accra.
After weeks of competitive singing and music making, Kelvin was able to snatch the title from three other finalists who also put up their best on the night.
Kelvin wins a GHC100,000 recording contract made posible by the organizers.
F9 placed second, Eugene was third and Sir Tino was fourth respectively.
The competition, which is in its 5 year scouts for talents across the country and grooms them into becoming potential hitmakers in and outside Ghana.
The finale of the competition saw performances from Season 4 winner Kiddi who debuted his new single Ewurama, BET Award nominee MzVee and reigning songwriter of the year Kofi Kinaata.
Judges for this year’s competition included radio personality Kwasi Aboagye, songstress Eazzy and rapper Okyeame Kwame.
Hosts for this year’s competition were radio and television personalities Giovanni Caleb and Peace Hyde.
