Late highlife legend Daddy Lumba’s family has been rocked by a feud between supporters of his two surviving wives, Akosua Serwaa and Prisicilla Ofori Atta, aka Odo Broni.
Lumba married Akosua Serwaa in the 1980s after they met in Germany, but he was residing with Odo Broni in Ghana at the time of his death.
The question over who would hold the position of widow during his final funeral rites has instigated a feud between the two camps, with shade and insults flying on social media.
Daddy Lumba’s abusuapanin addresses widows' beef
In a TikTok video seen by YEN.com.gh on the page KontonKyi Media on September 9, 2025, Daddy Lumba’s abusuapanin, Kofi Owusu, publicly addressed the alleged feud for the first time.
He called on Akosua Serwaa, Odo Broni and their respective camps to cease attacks on each other because they were tarnishing the late singer’s legacy.
Kofi Owusu also added that the family would hold a meeting with the two women to decide if either one or even both of them would be allowed to be widows at the funeral.
“We'll meet the two women and the family elders [to decide]. We all came together for the one-week observance, but we met a lot of problems from the camps of the two widows. So for now, they need to give us some information to help us settle the issue,” he said.

Oheneba Serwaa blasts Daddy Lumba’s abusuapanin
In a TikTok video seen by YEN.com.gh, popular media personality Oheneba Serwaa slammed Daddy Lumba’s abusuapanin over his utterances in the interview.
She said that he failed in upholding customs and tradition by not declaring Akosua Serwaa as the sole widow.

Oheneba Serwaa further stated that Kofi Owusu disrespected Akosua Serwaa by claiming the family had to meet to decide who should be the widow adding Odo Broni had no standing in Daddy Lumba’s life and calling her an alleged ‘sidechick’.
“I'm really disappointed in you. You told us the entire family is not aware of Odo Broni, so how can a lady who dated a married man now be seen as a widow? How can you say you would call them to sit down to decide on the widow? That is a total lack of respect for Akosua Serwaa,” she said.

Daddy Lumba's abusuapanin cautions Faustina Fosu
Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that Daddy Lumba's abusuapanin cautioned his sister, Faustina Fosu, over reports she snubbed Odo Broni at the late singer's one-week observance.
He cautioned both parties that they should let whatever animosity they hold against each other go for Lumba's funeral to be a smooth affair.
