Late Ghanaian singer, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, aka Daddy Lumba, died on July 26, 2025, at the age of 60.

Lumba is survived by two wives - Akosua Serwaa and Priscilla Ofori Atta, aka Odo Broni.

In the wake of his death, a family feud has broken out over who is worthy of being recognised as his legitimate wife during his funeral.

Daddy Lumba met his first wife, Akosua Serwaa, in Germany in the 1980s when he was starting as a highlife musician.

Akosua Serwaa reportedly financed his first-ever album in 1989, Ye Ya Ka Akwantuo Mu, which served as the springboard for his legendary career.

He later married Odo Broni, with whom he welcomed five children before his death.

The feud has encompassed alleged insults, snubs and shade between both widows or people allied with them.

Roman Fada quashes feud between Lumba’s wives

Speaking in an interview with DJ KA, Roman Fada said the claims of a feud between the two women were exaggerated.

He said Akosua Serwaa’s children were very close to Odo Broni, which would not have occurred if the two women were not on good terms.

Roman Fada said he has witnessed complete harmony between the two women since the musician's death and called for claims of a feud to be ignored.

Daddy Lumba's son consoles stepmom Odo Broni

Roman Fada's claim follows a viral video taken after Daddy Lumba's death, showing his eldest son, Calvin Fosu, consoling his stepmother, Odo Broni.

Calvin's compassion towards his stepmom received high praise online, with many Ghanaians noting their apparent close bond despite reports of a rift between Calvin's mother and Odo Broni.

Daddy Lumba's abusuapanin warns widows

Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that Daddy Lumba's abusuapanin warned his two widows and their 'camps' to seize the ongoing 'beef' between them.

In a viral video, he said their actions bring disgrace to the legacy of the legendary Charles Kwadwo Fosu.

Daddy Luma's abusuapanin added that the family would hold a meeting with both widows to officially decide if either one, or both of them, would serve as the widow during the late musician's upcoming final funeral rites.
