Bawku Naba and his Chiefs call on President Nana Addo

The Paramount Chief of the Bawku Traditional Area, Naba Asigri Abuagrago Azoka II has paid a reciprocal courtesy call on Presidency Nana Addo in Accra.

The Paramount Chief together with some of his elders called on the president at the Flagstaff House on Thursday.
The people of Bawku, in a run up to the 2016 elections voted massively for President Nana Addo and the NPP.

Nana Akufo-Addo in a conversation commended the Bawku Naba and his sub-Chiefs for their role in ensuring that peace prevails in Bawku chieftaincy dispute.

He also insisted that his administration is not interested in meddling in Chieftaincy matters and other stool conflicts in the Northern Region.

The president stressed that the decision to create a new district out of Tempane constituency was on-going, and the Minister for Local Government would announce the new district anytime soon.
