While some criticized her for getting swollen headed because of the benefits she was getting for being close to the corridors of power, others plainly insulted her for being insensitive to the plight of the many unemployed youth, some of whom supported the NPP to win power.

As the criticisms gathered steam, the presidential staffer pulled down the original post and apologized for the unintended disaffection it had caused.

Explaining in a Facebook post on Friday, she said:

"With the benefit of hindsight, my post wouldn't have read same. I didn't intend to cause any disaffection. It was purely for humor but i must admit that it's a joke gone bad. As a young person myself, I'm passionate about youth development and spend a lot of my time with young people. It therefore cannot be, that i will be insensitive to my peers

I saw the cliche 'This nonsense must stop in 2017', where a lot of jokes have been cracked. This is where my gaffe emanated from. I didnt create a post to berate anyone. For what it is not intended to, i erred. I'm sorry".
