Marry more wives; the Bible supports polygamy – renowned pastor ‘urges’ men
A Kenyan cleric, Pastor Vincent Mboya Mulwa, has argued that the Bible supports polygamy.
According to him, contrary to what Christians have been made to believe that polygamy is a sin, the Bible actually supports the practice, states a report by tuko.co.ke, a Kenyan news site.
Pastor Mulwa has been preaching for over forty (40) years with Christ Pilgrim Restoration Centre (CPRC) based in Kenya.

He is quoted to have said "It's not about men's desire to marry men women, but rather women's desire to have husbands.”
Therefore, a christian man is at liberty to marry as many women as he wishes, Pastor Mulwa emphasized.

His opinion is in sharp contrast to what is known by Christians world wide for many years.
According to the trend, the Christian men are required to marry just one.
The Bible even goes further to explain that divorce is only allowed on the grounds of sexual immorality committed by one of the married couple.

But the Kenyan pastor holds the view that Christians have been lied to in this regards, and that they must be allowed to marry according to the number they desire..
Pastor Mulwa said: “We must teach the true gospel. Let our Christian men marry as many wives as they wish. It's not about men’s desire to marry women, but rather women's desire to have husbands.”
He is the author of a book he titled, "Christianity at a Crossroads: Between a Rock and a Hard Place".
