According Emmanuel Dzivenu, a UG student with the University’s radio station, Radio Univers, the injured student suffered severe injuries.

In an interview on Citi FM, Emmanuel noted that there is a heavy police presence on campus with many of students fearing further reprisals.

He further explained that the clash came on the back of an alleged attack of a Commonwealth student by the visiting Katanga students on the Legon campus.

It is believed the action of the Katanga students infuriated the Commonwealth students who descended from the hills to ‘fight’ the visiting Katanga boys.
