- But first photos from the Tamale Teaching Hospital show the NPP chairman is in a stable condition and doctors say he will be observed for some time before any further action
YEN.com.gh has sighted first photos of the Northern Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Daniel Bugri Naabu following a near-fatal accident on Thursday.
In the photos, Bugri Naabu is seen sitting on his hospital bed with some visitors sitting around him.
The NPP regional chairman was rushed to the intensive care unit of the TTH in the early hours of Thursday after his car crashed at Larbanga near Damongo in the West Gonja district.
Reports suggest that Bugri Naabu was returning to Tamale after a political campaign at Sawla and Bole, to seek re-election in the upcoming regional executives’ elections on Saturday, April 28.
Earlier information had suggested that the NPP chairman was going to be flown to Accra for further treatment after a first surgery.
But it looks like that may not happen again as Bugri Naabu looks to be doing well in the photos YEN.com.gh came across.
In fact, doctors at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) have said the NPP Chairman was in a stable condition and was talking.
According to the PRO of the TTH, Dr Ken Osei Mensah, Bugri Naabu will be observed for some time before any further action is taken.
