NDC's Dela Coffie calls delegates to elect someone like Sammy Awuku

National Democratic Congress (NDC) activist, Dela Coffie, is calling on the party's youth delegates to look out for and elect someone like the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Sammy Awuku.

The immediate former national youth organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sammy Awuku, is a man worthy of emulation. That is according to leading opposition youth activist Dela Coffie.

According to a report first filed by Mynewsgh.com, Coffie believes that Awuku's leadership qualities are to be learned and copied irrelevant of whether one shares Awuku's politics.

Coffie claimed that Awuku's part in the NPP's general elections victory of 2016 was underrated. He went on to credit the NPP man with engineering an overwhelming youth support for Nana Akufo-Addo.

Coffie is quoted as saying: “When Sammy Awuku was elected the national youth organiser of the NPP in April 2014, he seemed like a different kind of a leader.

"Not just the everyday politician but a new sort of youth leader: thoughtful, reflective and determined to represent all of his party folks.

“Now, some two years after galvanizing the Ghanaian youths for the NPP 2016 victory, he has come to represent the standard in youth activism and leadership."

It is indeed not the first time Sammy Awuku has had praise from opposition members. NDC Member of Parliament Sam George has in the past praised Awuku for his youth leadership.
