Nana Addo touts NPP’s 41 fulfilled promises

President Akufo-Addo has touted the incredible achievements of his government in the last two years.

The president at an NPP rally ahead of the by-election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency opined that only the ‘’blind or deaf” will claim ignorance of the government’s fulfilled promises.

We came to fix Ghana, and in these two years, it is only those who are blind or dead who are not aware that indeed we have done something,” he said.

According to him, he has fulfilled 41 of his 2016 campaign promises so far and would do more for Ghanaians to know that he is a “man of truth” when he completes his first four-year term.

Forty-one promises made by the NPP and its presidential candidate has been fulfilled and delivered within two years. We are not done and I know that. But after the four years, everybody will see that, yes, Akufo-Addo was a man of his words and a man of truth, a man of honesty and integrity,” Nana Akufo-Addo stated.

Akufo-Addo also pleaded with the people of the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency to vote for Lydia Alhassan as MP in Thursday’s by-election.

I’m pleading with you, Lydia is a mother and a widow but because of her love for Ghana and Ayawaso West, she has decided to contest and continue the good works of her husband, so, vote massively for her to honour her late husband,” the president added.

Apart from the NPP’s candidate, the other contestants are Kwasi Delali Brempong (NDC), William Dowokpor (PPP), and Clement Boadi of the LPG.

Campaigns by the four political parties and their candidates contesting the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency seat were wrapped up in line with the constitutional requirement for such activities to end 48 clear hours ahead of scheduled polls.

The four political parties; the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), rounded up their campaigns Tuesday, January 29, 2019.

The Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency seat became vacant following the death of the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Mr Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, on November 21, 2018, who was subsequently buried last weekend.
