- NDC's Women's Organizer, Hanna Bissiw, has stated that she recieved GHC2000 from an NPP rally
- According to her, she used part of the money for fuel and has some left
- The rally, which was attended by President Akufo-Addo, was organized at the La Bawaleshie Presbyterian Basic School Park
The National Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hanna Bissiw, has disclosed that she was given an amount of GHC2000 after a rally organized by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking on Asempa FM, she stated that “I had GHC2,000 from the rally after I sent my people to go for the rally. I used that money to buy fuel for my car and I even have a lot more left,” she stated.
The NPP organized a rally at the La Bawaleshie Presbyterian Basic School Park in support of the candidacy of Lydia Seyram Alhassan for the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary seat.
Present at the rally were NPP stalwarts, including President Akufo-Addo, who called on the delegates to massively vote for Alhassan.
According to her, it is strange that a political party that had challenges with rent in times past, can now afford to engage in profligate spending.
According to Adomonline.com, she however indicated that she is hoping the NPP would organize more of such rallies, so that she can get more money to fuel her car.
The Ayawaso West Wuogon bye-election will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 and four candidates are contesting for the seat left vacant by the late Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, who passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.
