The embattled national chairman of the National Democratic Congress Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has finally honored the invitation of the security over the leaked tape brouhaha.
Mr. Ampofo was accompanied by top NDC lawyers like Tony Lithur and former Attorney General Marietta Brew.
There is also a beef up of security at the police headquarters to prevent any disorder and chaos.
In a leaked audio that warranted the opposition party member's invitation, Mr. Ofosu Ampofo is heard telling party communicators to attack certain prominent persons in Ghana.
“As for the EC chair, we must wage a relentless war on this EC chair. Me, she doesn’t want to see my face,” Ofosu-Ampofo allegedly said at the meeting which took place after the Ayawaso by-election.
The NDC has subsequently vehemently denied the contents of the leaked tape.
The party in a statement described the leaked tape as “concocted and false.”
Mr. Ofosu Ampofo’s comment has however, been supported the NDC presidential aspirant, John Dramani Mahama.
