In one of the scenes, the character Tara Coleman, played by Tracy Ifeachor, attended a Ghanaian funeral to meet a friend who was dancing 'adowa' at one of Ghanaian's coastal communities.
The two later moved to a bar and were seen drinking one of Ghana's most famous alcoholic beverages.
However, some Ghanaian movie critics are excited that the producers of Treadstone moved away from Hollywood and other locations to shoot in Ghana at some of the country's historic locations.
Tara later moved to Elmina, where the antique Elmina Castle had been beautifully converted into a prison.
The prison had Ghanaian inmates and wardens moving around. She was later seen driving around the coastal town. The entire Ghana scene lasted over 20 minutes
