2019 has been a great year as many black girls in their teenage years and less have performed wonders for the whole world to see.

YEN.com.gh compiles an amazing list of some of the top-performing black girls in 2019.

1. Essynce Moore

Essynce Moore a 15-year-old African-American author from New Jersey has had three books from her collection Middle School Chronicles selected as compulsory reading in many districts in the United States.

The books focus on teaching students what to do about bullying, how to find their passion and pursue their dreams, how to relate effectively with colleagues and teachers, and also inspires them to become anything they wish to be.

2. Mariah Morning

With help from her mother, 4-year-old Mariah Morning has already launched her own business in Cleveland, Ohio, selling homemade baked goods and sweets called Mariah's Munchies.

Morning is already treading the path to be a successful young entrepreneur.

3. Cynthia Dankwa

Young actress Cynthia Dankwa made Ghana proud at the 2019 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA 2019) as she emerged as the Best Young/Promising Actor in Africa.

4. Marsai Martin

Popular Hollywood teen actress, Marsai Martin, has made Forbes 30 under 30 list.

Aged 15, she started acting at 10, playing as Diane Johnson on Black-ish. Her acting on the movie took her to the limelight as she got many nominations at the NAACP Image Award, the BET Awards and the SAG Awards.

5. DJ Switch

12-year-old disc jockey, DJ Switch, has been crowned as the ‘Best DJ of the Year’ at the 2019 Ghana DJ Awards.

DJ SWitch beat competition from DJ Mic-Smith, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Sly, DJ Aroma and DJ Black. The event came off at the Accra International Conference on Saturday, November 2.

6. Divina Maloum

Divina Maloum, a 14-year-old girl from Cameroun has been awarded the highly-coveted International Children's Peace Prize.

It is reported that that Maloum has been very instrumental in promoting peace in the northern part of her country among many other amazing responsibilities.

7. Michelle Nkamankeng

Michelle Nkamankeng who became the youngest author from Africa at the age of 7 now has 7 astonishing books at 11 and owns a foundation that is set to provide free books to less privileged children.

According to a report compiled by YEN.com.gh, at age 7, Michelle was classified as one of the 10 youngest authors in the world.
