Just In: Fatal accident in Kete Krachi leaves 7 dead and 51 others in critical condition

News just reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that there has been a fatal accident involving vehicles traveling from Osramani to Gyasayo in the Krachi West District of the Oti region.

The accident which occurred a few hours ago on February 15, 2020, is believed to have taken the lives of 7 people and left some 51 people in various degrees of critical conditions.

According to a Joy News report, some of the passengers onboard one of the vehicles involved in the accident were Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) students returning from the funeral of their headmaster, Theo Yaw John.

The report went on to say that one of the victims who gave her name as Vivian, asked the driver of their car to make a pit stop so she could attend to nature's call.

However, in the driver's bid to slow down and come to a stop, he lost control of the vehicle because he was driving at top speed and led to a collision with a Rhino truck.

It is reported that the truck somersaulted twice.
