The flag of secessionist group, the Western Togoland, was reportedly hoisted and seen flying at full mast at the Volta Regional Coordinating Council where the Volta Regional Minister operates as political head of the region.

According to a report filed by Citinewsroom.com, as of 8:30 am on Thursday, police officers from the Volta Regional Police Command were seen pulling down the flag that was hoisted.

YEN.com.gh could not ascertain the brain behind the hoisting of the flag and the reason why it was done at the regional coordinating council a day before the celebration of Ghana’s 63rd independence anniversary.
