- The Second Transfer Window which was open on March 16, 2020 will run till midnight on Monday, April 13, 2020

- GFA applied to FIFA to open the window for a period to allow clubs to strengthen their squads

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has extended the Second Transfer Window for the 2019/2020 football season.

According to GFA, the transfer window which was open on March 16, 2020, will run till midnight on Monday, April 13, 2020.

This follows the guidelines advisory from FIFA to allow clubs to strengthen their squads.

Currently, the Premier and Division One League, the Women’s Premier Leagues are all on hold due to the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus.

The commencement of the lower leagues of the Regional Football Associations was also halted because of the pandemic.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that spokesperson of the Ministry of Sports, Kofi Asare Brako has revealed that Black Stars coach, C.K Akonnor will get $25,000 as monthly salary.

According to him the senior national team coach has agreed his personal terms but is yet to put pen to paper to complete documentation of his two-year contract as coach of the Black Stars.

"In the contract, C.K Akonnor will be taking $25,000. It is in cedi equivalent," Kofi Asare Brako, who is also a personal aide to the sports minister revealed on Adom TV.
