In spite of the challenges of keeping up with school demands and relationship, Chelsea Handfield and Dr Dancy are an example of how love could serve as adrenaline to defeat all odds.

The couple with social media handles @chelseabellesmd and @dr.dancy met when Chelsea was in her first year of medical school. He wasn’t in school yet.

However, a friend convinced him to come along to the function and that was where their love story pleasantly ignited.

A few months later, Dancy was accepted at the medical school down the street from her own.

The first year was full of fun dates, but he couldn’t understand her limited free time until school started for him the following year.

His and hers were the only faces they saw while studying for board exams. She was his companion and food study buddy during his busy hospital rotations.

He kept her company on late nights and weekends while she toiled away in the research lab.

She took an extra research year (and he did not) so that they could apply for residency at the same time.

And despite the immense odds, through God’s mercy and grace, they achieved their wildest dream - training together as dermatologist and orthopaedic surgeons at one of the best hospitals in the world.

Chelsea took to social media to share their awe-inspiring story.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh had reported that Asante Kotoko captain, Felix Annan has warmed hearts after he recounted how he met his now-wedded wife Francisca Yeboah on social media in 2009.

As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Annan tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend in a private ceremony in January 2020. The gorgeous ceremony was held on Saturday, January 18, 2020, in the Ahafo Region, Dormaa with friends and loved ones gracing the nuptial.
