Ghanaian women are etching their own niche in careers that have, for a long time, been considered male-dominated. Anita-Pearl Mwinnabang Ankor is one of such women.

The native of Nandom in the Upper West Region of Ghana is making laudable strides in her chosen field as a painter.

Anita received her early education at the University of Ghana Primary and Junior High School in Accra.

She later completed Mfantsiman Girls’ Secondary School and subsequently earned her undergraduate degree in Agriculture Science Post Harvest Technology at the University of Ghana.

The young woman’s passion for her current profession was evoked by her childhood quest to scribble on the wall, draw on furniture, and work on diagrams on blackboards.

At a very early age she discovered that she can design and create using her imagination.

While it may seem that she has digressed from what she studied at university, she is currently making progressive strides as a female painter.

There’s no doubt the young Black creative is among the few women making gains in this field.

Anita-Pearl’s rare story is compelling because it serves as a motivation for young women who want to venture into male-dominated spheres.

YEN.com.gh recently reported about Madina Adutwumwaa Asare, a teacher at Diamond State Academy at Atimatim-Maase in Kumasi, who has committed her life to making sure children love school.

The young female teacher uses part of her free time to raise money to provide for the overlooked and underprivileged at the school.

Famed as teacher Ewurama, the kind-hearted teacher has been impacting the lives of her pupils in her own special way. She is a true standard-bearer.

In another story, a single mother with the Twitter name, tha_ashcash, has proudly gushed about her academic milestone along with stunning graduation frames.

The mother of two handsome boys posed alongside her children in the impressive photos. tha_ashcash revealed she has successfully graduated from a renowned university with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science.
