The SUAPOLOR of the Se (Shai) Traditional Area, King of Kordiabe-Madaam, His Royal Majesty Drolor Bosso Adamtey I has condemned the killing of the 90-year-old Ghanaian woman who was alleged to be a witch.

In a video shared on his official Instagram handle, King of Kordiabe-Madaam made several declarations and also called on religious leaders, political and traditional rulers to speak up concerning the incident.

His Royal Majesty Drolor Bosso Adamtey I, who is a renowned Christian leader in the United States, pointed out that superstition, together with some religious messages preached, underpins such unfortunate incidents.

Speaking with a heavy heart, the SUAPOLOR of the Se (Shai) Traditional Area further explained that as human beings, everyone undergoes changes as they age, and unfortunately, some of those transitions are interpreted as witchcraft due to ignorance.

The renowned Christian leader commended President Nana Akufo-Addo and well-meaning leaders who added their voice to make sure that such a crime is never repeated.

Finally, the Kordiabe-Madaam Matse strongly decreed that the perpetrators of the heinous crime are punished by law to serve as a deterrent to others because such an act must not happen again.

In a related development, an old Ghanaian woman named Hajia Felina who was accused of being a witch after she confessed has said she only accepted the tag because of fear.

The old lady's story was captured in a snippet of a video news report on Ghana's UTV that was sighted by YEN.com.gh.

This development comes on the back of a trending story regarding a 90-year-old woman in Ghana who was labelled a witch and left unconscious after being lynched by a mob. She passed away the next day.
