Former US First Lady Michelle Obama has opened up on her experience with the big M (menopause).
The mother of two said adjusting to her new normal was a rough ride but she allowed herself to go with the flow.

The former FLOTUS confessed on her podcast that she once went through a rush of hot flashes while on her way to a major event with her husband Barack Obama.
The former president’s wife added that she suddenly started feeling like her body was on fire and sweat dripped down her face as she tried to calm herself down.
“It was like somebody put a furnace in my core and turned it on high,” Obama’s wife described her ordeal.

The 56-year-old described the experience as a near-melting point which had her feeling like someone was holding a flame next to her body.
The mother of two said women need to be armed with information regarding their bodies so they can be prepared for menopause.
She acknowledged that her husband had gotten used to working with ladies going through the process and did not shy away from it at any point.
