LeBron James: Basketball legend endorses Joe Biden to become next US president

LeBron James has taken a side in the US presidential elections as the battle between President Donald Trump and Vice President Joe Biden enters its final day.

Americans have taken to the polls to either vote for Donald Trump’s continuity or to ensure Joe Biden emerges as the country’s next president.

Basketball star James who has been seen publicly encouraging and registering people ahead of the elections took an official position when he endorsed Biden on his Instagram handle - on the eve of election day.

He wrote:

“One more day. Please. We need everything to change and it all starts tomorrow.”

And James’ endorsement is not the first from the basketball world as it was gathered that San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich also endorsed the ticket of Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris.

According to Popovich, he is throwing his weight behind the candidature because be believes in “truth over lies.”

Also, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr and Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers teamed up for a powerful ad for The Lincoln Project.

Meanwhile, President Trump has said the winner of Tuesday, November 3 poll should be declared on or before Wednesday, November 4.

He made the remarks on Sunday, November 1, during his tiresome homestretch campaign as he tried to solidify his support base and boost his reelection chances against his Democratic Party contender Joe Biden.

The US head of state also poked holes in a Supreme Court decision that allowed absentee ballots to be counted days after the election day, a rule that he claimed could snowball into violence.

Meanwhile, earlier reported that Joe Biden delivered a strong message to the American people.

The former vice president expressed optimism that they are all coming together for a big win on Tuesday, November 3.

Biden who made the disclosure while speaking during his final campaign rally in Pittsburgh on the eve of election day, added that nothing is going to stop the country from voting.

The US presidential election holds on Tuesday, November 3, with Trump putting his popularity on test again with the country's former vice president in a bid to reclaim the Oval Office seat.
