American R&B singer Ashanti has revealed that she has tested positive for Covid-19. The star took to Instagram to share the news that she has contracted the virus.

"Hey ya'll, I can't believe I'm saying this but I tested positive for Covid-19. I'm okay and not in any pain," she wrote on the photo sharing app.

Ashanti was scheduled to do a "Verzuz" battle with fellow R&B artist Keyshia Cole and she said that she was open to doing it from her house instead.

Ashanti followed up with a candid video in which she thanked all her fans for the support she had received after she shared her diagnosis. She was still in shock that she contracted corona.

"Never in a million years did I think I would test positive for Covid-19," said Ashanti.
