In a press briefing, Kwadwo Annor Fosu who was speaking on behalf of the amalgamated bodies said the MCE rather brought division within the municipality and its officers.

Annor Fosu said the division in the party under her tenure of office caused less development in the constituency.

Among many other things, the group cited cases of immaturity, antagonism, sabotage, scandals involving land issues and cluelessness as some of the reasons the MCE must be replaced with immediate effect.

Annor Fosu said as President Akufo-Addo is starting his second term, he should do well to appoint an MCE who is ready to work for the development of the party in the municipality.

Speaking about the ideal candidate for the job, the group indicated that the next MCE must be a grassroots person who knows the grounds and understand the plight of those in the municipality.

They also said the person must be someone who has served the party tirelessly and has the requisite qualification and managerial skills fit for the esteemed office of MCE.

The concerned party faithful also demanded to be given an MCE who is business-oriented and can use this expertise to help bring about development into the municipality.

This, according to him, will encourage the people within the municipality to put their best foot forward to ensure that the party's objectives are achieved in the next four years.

Annor appealed to Akufo-Addo to appoint an MCE who will have the party's ideologies at heart, a well-deserving MCE who will work hard for grassroots and foot soldiers to work and live together in harmony.

Speaking in an interview with UTV, one of the foot soldiers said they have had enough of Sandra since she has served her first term already.

According to her, they need a new face and someone who has fresh perspectives and the interest of the party supporters at heart.

Th group congratulated President Akufo-Addo over his re-election and called on all Ghanaians to support him to move Ghana forward.
