Ghana's Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination programme has kicked off and it is gradually getting into gear.

Starting on Monday, March 1, 2021, the programme which seeks to vaccinate 20 million Ghanaians by the end of 2021, has entered its third day.

Apart from the active participation of political actors and other prominent personalities in the vaccination programme, Ghana's entertainment and showbiz personalities are also keenly involved.

Many of Ghana's favourite stars including Nana Ama McBrown, Nana Aba Anamoah, Yvonne Nelson, Afia Schwarzenegger, among others, have already taken their first jabs.

The stars listed above add to a growing list of prominent Ghanaians who have taken their first jabs of the COVID-19 vaccine.

As previously reported by YEN.com.gh, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu has taken his jab of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Manhyia Palace

Otumfuo's vaccination on Tuesday, March 2, coincided with the Akradwareda (soul-cleansing day), a day to perform rites to cleanse his soul and fortify himself spiritually.

On the same day, former President John Mahama also took his first jab of the vaccine to protect himself against COVID-19.

Earlier on Monday, March 1, 2021, President Nana Akufo-Addo, his wife Rebecca, Vice President Dr Mahamudu, and Second Lady Samira took their jabs.
