Kokrobite: Driver arrested in Accra after trafficking 9 children in car booth

A driver together with three other suspects has been arrested at Kokrobite in the Ga South Municipality after he was caught around 10 pm trafficking nine children.

According to a video report by JoyNews, it is indicated that the incident happened on the evening of Friday, March 12, 2021, when a police dispatch rider came in contact with the suspicious car.

The Assemblyman for Kokrobite Electoral Area, Mr Allotey, narrated that some of the nine children in question were seen in the booth of the car.

Immediately the dispatch rider spotted the kids, he called on the car to pack after which the driver, realizing he would be apprehended, attempted to flee.

All the children in the car with number plate BA 1298 X were interviewed to know where they were coming from and the driver was subsequently arrested with his three other accomplices.

In the video sighted by YEN.com.gh, the locals who heard of the incident and thronged the area were seen hooting at the traffickers who were carried in a police cab.

Away from children getting trafficked, a gentleman who appears to be in his late teens has gotten himself in some trouble after he put on a ring that belongs to one of his friends.

In a video report by Adom TV sighted by YEN.com.gh, it is indicated that the gentleman was at a gaming centre around Iron City in Kasoa when one of his playmates removed the ring, put it on the table, and forgot about it.
