Rashid Yakubu, the father of Akuapem Poloo's son, Mohammed Mudasir Yakubu a.k.a. Chief, has opened on their failed relationship.
According to Yakubu he had wanted to marry Poloo but had shelve the plan because he did not have the werewithal.
Yakubu made the revelation in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM on Friday, April 23, 2021.
Yakubu explained that he met the actress in 2010 and dated her for sometime getting her pregnant in 2012.
As part of their plans, he was supposed to marry Poloo after she had safely delivered their baby. The had planned to have an outdoring, engagmegement, and wedding in one.
Yakubu revealed that he even went to see Poloo's family in Suhum to get the list for the dowry items.
But around that time, Yakubu said, he faced financial difficulties in his busness as a buotique owner.
Because of the financail difficulties,he could not afford the itemon the list and decied to hod on to the marriage plans until things got better.
Poloo eventually gave birth and after some time they grew apart and their relationship ended without any of them really offending the other.
He stated that their son lived wth his mother until he was about two years old when Poloo came for him under the pretext of spending time with the boy.
Yakubu added that he has not been irresponsible but has contributed to the upkeep of the child even though Poloo took him away under controversial circumstances.
The appearance of Akuapem Poloo's baby daddy comes after the actress was released from the Nsawam Prison three days after being granted bail.
Poloo was granted bail in the sum of GHC80, 000 by a High Court in Accra but she had been in custody after failing to fulfill the bail requirements.
The actress met the bail conditions and signed the bond on Friday morning.
Meanwhile, a video showing actress Akuapem Poloo leaving the court after signing her GHC80,000 bail bond has popped up.
In the video, the actress was seen walking briskly toward a white pick-up car in the parking lot of the court.
