Robofest 2017: PRESEC beat Prempeh College to become national champions
Presbyterian Boys SHS (PRESEC) emerged champions of the 2017 edition of Robofest which took place on Saturday, February 18 at the Knustford University College in Accra.
The event which saw various second cycle schools in Ghana compete and show their prowess in robotics saw PRESEC unseat World Champions for 2016 Prempeh College.
After the competition, Team Precision of PRESEC emerged winners narrowly over Team Rival of Prempeh College by a decimal. Both schools had acquired 100 points. However, Team Transformers also of Prempeh took the third position.

Prempeh College and PRESEC will represent Ghana at this year’s ROBOFEST in the international competition and the world stage.
Other schools that took part in the competition are; Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS, Aburi Girls SHS, St. Augustine’s College, St. Francis Xavier Seminary, Wesley Girls’ SHS, GSTS among others.
Robofest is a festival of competitions and events with autonomous robots that encourages students to have fun while learning principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and Computer Science.
The students design, construct and program the robots with any programming language.
