WAEC releases provisional results for 2017 WASSCE

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the full provisional results of all candidates who sat for the exams this year.

According to a press statement released to sections of the media, the general performance of all 289,210 candidates was good as compared to the previous year of 2016.

In the area of Core Mathematics, exactly 122,450 candidates scored between AI and C6 with over 56,000 failing drastically. The situation regarding Integrated Science was worrying as close to over 76,000 candidates also failed with a terrible F9.

Also, cases of examination malpractice were not left out as WAEC revealed that the results of 185 schools have so far been withheld pending the conclusion of investigations into various cases of examination malpractice detected during and after the conduct of the examination.

Meanwhile, all candidates across the country are being entreated to access their results online or at WAEC's website.
