The one-week observance for the late renowned Ghanaian musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, famously known as Daddy Lumba, took place on August 30, 2025, and was graced by several prominent figures, including former President Nana Akufo-Addo.
The event attracted a plethora of politicians and members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), all coming together to lend their support to the bereaved family during this sorrowful time.

In a poignant display of camaraderie, the former President, alongside NPP members, arrived to pay their respects to his late friend, who famously recorded a campaign song for him during his tenure.

Upon arrival, Nana Akufo-Addo acknowledged the family and offered a generous donation of GH¢100,000 to assist them as they navigated this challenging period.
Other notable contributions included GH¢50,000 from former Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia, GH¢30,000 from the Ghana Police Service, and GH¢10,000 from Kennedy Agyapong, and GH¢5,000 each from Matthew Opoku Prempeh and Alan Kyerematen.
In a striking moment captured during the observance, Denise Fosu, the eldest daughter of Daddy Lumba, was photographed seated and seemingly at ease despite the sombre occasion, as she welcomed Akufo-Addo.
Looking graceful and without makeup, her serene demeanour contrasted with the weight of the event. The former president displayed a gesture of fatherly affection by gently touching her cheeks, offering comfort amidst their shared grief.

Odo Broni stands to greet Akufo-Addo
Conversely, Daddy Lumba's second wife, Priscilla Ofori-Atta, also known as Odo Broni, exhibited deep emotions, standing in respect to greet the former president.
Her expression conveyed profound sadness and vulnerability, reflecting the heavy toll of her husband’s passing on both her and their five young children.

In a video that has since gone viral, Denise Fosu made a striking entrance at her father's memorial, showcasing a sophisticated ensemble that radiated elegance and style.
She wore a beautifully tailored, corseted short-sleeved top that accentuated her silhouette, paired with a form-fitting long pencil skirt that flowed gracefully to the floor.

To commemorate her father's memory, she adorned herself with a stylish black headwrap, artfully draping it over her shoulders, symbolising her mourning.
