Yvonne Okoro fulfills her promise to Black Queens

The Black Queens of Ghana players will be smiling to the bank soon.

Ghanaian actress Yvonne Okoro has fulfilled the promise she made to the Black Queen during the WAFU Zone B competition.

The screen goddess was in Abidjan to motivate and support the Black Queens prior to their first encounter against Senegal at the Robert Champroux Stadium.

It was during this meeting that Yvonne promised to give the Black Queens $10,000 (GHC 530,00) should they reach the semifinals of the WAFU Zone B competition.

Lo and behold, the Black Queens who were the defending champions managed to qualify to the semi-finals.

But they failed to qualify to the finals after losing via penalties to Nigeria.

Well, Yvonne has fulfilled her promise by donating a whooping amount of $10,000 to the Black Queens.

At the end of the said competition, the Black Queens led by Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo won bronze.
