Super OD to be buried on May 18 in his hometown

-Family members of late comedian and actor, Super OD, have scheduled his final funeral rites for May 18

-According to the family, the late actor would be laid to rest in his hometown in Agona-Abodom

-He passed away at the age of 84 at a hospital in Swedru on February 13

Family members of the late actor, Asonaba Kwaku Darko, otherwise known as Super OD, have released the date and venue for the final funeral rites of their beloved relative.

According to the family members, the late comedian will be buried in his hometown, Agona-Abodom in the Central Region on May 18, this year.

The family made the announcement at the One Week Memorial held for the actor who died at the Swedru Government Hospital on February 13, after he took ill for a while.

When news of the passing of the actor broke, many Ghanaians eulogized him for the many times he put smiles on the faces of people, including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Former President John Dramani Mahama

Simon Darko, the son of the actor confirmed the news of his father’s passing to the general public.

He revealed that his father battled with an illness for some time and was rushed to the hospital on Saturday, February 10.

The actor was unfortunately confirmed dead around 7:15 am on Tuesday, February 13.

The 84-year-old veteran actor had been out of the public’s eye for some time due to his illness and had been living in Agona Swedru.

Super OD, started acting in the 1970 and gained national prominence in the 1990s for roles in the popular TV series, Akan Drama on Ghana Television.

He was part of the Oppong Drama Group which later became known as Osofo Dadzie Group.
