Lyrics Shatta Wale's to the much talked about 'Gringo' track

Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, on Friday, April 27 released the music video for his latest track, 'Gringo' off his 'Reign' album.

The song and its music video, which was shot in Blanco, Texas, US, and said to be the most expensive video of Shatta Wale throughout his career has received mixed reactions.

While some have applauded Shatta Wale for a good work done, others have trashed the song entirely.

Most of the critics have argued that was nothing good about the video apart from the technical production of the video which is impressive because it was lyrically empty.

For them, the seven-minute video for a song which lasted under two minutes, betray Shatta Wale’s lack of lyrcs.

Meanwhile, barely a week after the official release of Shatta Wale’s Gringo, the music video has garnered almost 700,000 views on YouTube.

Despite the criticism that has greeted ‘Gringo’ upon its release, the music video is still topping iTunes chart and has been trending as the number 1 video on Youtube for the past five days.

What makes the feat more impressive is the fact that the video for 'Tomorrow', a song released by Shatta's rival, Stonebwoy is no where near the 600,000 mark though it was released exactly a week before 'Gringo'.
