Ivy Heward Mills sues Ken Agyapong and others for defamation
The wife of the late Abuakwa North member of parliament (MP), Ivy Heward Mills, has filed a suit against Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong and eight others for what she believes is defamation of her character.
In the wake of the death of the Abuakwa North MP, J.B. Danquah, Agyapong had alleged that Mills was in a relationship with award-winning investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
Agyapong made the allegations as the country and the rest of Africa was gearing up for the release of Anas' 'Number 12' investigative documentary.
The claims were part of the Assin Central MP’s attempts to discredit Anas.
But in response to the allegations by Agyapong, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, a mentor to Anas, defended the journalist and said Anas and Mills had only been friends from school.

But as it is, Mills is pursuing redress in court.

Meanwhile, information reaching YEN.com.gh has it that the MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has been invited by the police over the death of Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
Hussein-Suale, who is a key member of Anas Aremeyaw Anas' Tiger Eye Private Investigations team was killed on Wednesday, January 16, 2019.
Agyapong had earlier leaked his photo in his 'who watches the watchman' anti-Anas video documentary and called on the public to deal with him for a handsome reward.
