Legendary rapper-turned-evangelist Lord Kenya is set to release a new music album any time soon.

According to the award-winning rapper who took up pastoral work after what he described as an arrest by the Holy Ghost, the album is titled Christ Life.

Lord Kenya made the revelation while addressing congregants in a church in a new video sighted by YEN.com.gh.

Explaining the album title, Kenya drew an analogy of his album title to the Highlife and Hiplife and music genre.

For him, while there was nothing high or hip about Highlife and Hiplife, the Bible enjoins Christians to live like Jesus Christ and thus his choice of title.

Lord Kenya further disclosed that gospel rap album is going to praise God and highlight His goodness to mankind.

After his explanation, Lord Kenya set out to perform a live band version of Christ Life, the title song, in the church auditorium.

Delivering his usually fine rap style in gospel lyric, Lord Kenya got everybody in the auditorium excited and cheering.

Born Abraham Philip Akpor Kojo Kainya in 1978, Lord Kenya rose to national prominence in 1998 after releasing his first album titled Sika Card.

After going on to release six other successful albums, Lord Kenya dropped out of the music industry after turning a born-again Christian following his last album in 2008.

In his heyday, Lord Kenya was considered by many to be the best rapper in Ghana and was often compared to Obrafour.
