Many at times, we tend to assume that life is a journey. A journey that directs you through paths that later determine the kind of person you want to be in life. Perhaps, Sarkodie is one of the people who have had it rough before making it to where he is now. Early this week, he posted some of his throwback photos on Twitter, and his fans could not believe how far the rapper has come. In the pictures, we can see various celebrities such as Hammer, Kwaw Kese, Stay Jay, and of course, his wife, Tracey Sarkcess.

Sarkodie is one rapper in the country who is known to lead a glamorous life. Obviously, going through his Instagram photos, you will notice that he is wealthy and classy. However, his musical career has not been a smooth one. The rapper began his career back in a group known as The Last Two. The group consisted of the likes of Kwaw Kese, Yaa Pono, Criss Waddle, Under, D Cryme, and Yaw Siki, who now happens to be a pastor. From the pictures shared by Sarkodie, it is clear that they were struggling to make it to the top in the industry.

According to the rapper, the intention of posting the old photos on Twitter was to inspire his fans. Indeed, we live in a social media era. We are fooled to believe in whatever we see online. Wealthy people do not wake up one morning to find them rich, no! Some of them work hard to achieve what they boast at on social media. A good example is Sarkodie. Unlike what you are used to him wearing when he posts pictures on social media, back then, fashion was not his thing. The rapper used to wear very baggy jeans and shirts. In fact, in another photo, he is seen wearing a baggy sweater in the studio recording a song.

In another photo, he praises his aunt for always supporting him. The aunt was able to support him with clothes and other stuff because she was staying in Paris. In the photo, in which he is seen standing alone with an Addidas bag, he captioned it as:

Unlike some artists, Sarkodie is a humble rapper. Not so many of them in the country will be willing to post their old photos on social media. All we get to see is them posting pictures portraying them living flashy lives. It is for this reason that most people are currently living fake lives. They want to look like them. However, this is not the case with Sarkodie. Sarkodie is an honest celebrity because he wants you to know that life is not a straight line. You got to go through stages before meeting your destiny. I am now sure that his fans and people looking up to him will be willing to work harder even as they fight to attain their respective fortunes. After all, life does not have shortcuts.

The appreciative nature of Sarkodie did not start today. The rapper is always thankful for what he has achieved and the people who helped him in the journey. In one of the photos posted by the hip life rapper, we see Tracey, who was then his girlfriend. Sarkodie acknowledges her for always being there when he was down. She thanks her for supporting him and ever having his back. If not one at least two, you know or have heard a story about artists who struggled with their partners, and when one of them made it in life, they parted ways. This is not the case to Sarkodie and Tracey. The two have had a satisfying relationship that has finally led to marriage. That aside, here is what Sarkodie had to say about his lovely wife:

As usual, Ghanaians on Twitter are very keen, especially on details. They spotted something else regarding one of the photos posted by Sarkodie. Well, they spotted Kwaw Kese is rolling something which appears like Marijuana.
So, they had Kwaw Kese trending after Sarkodie posted the photo. Most of them wanted to know what he was rolling. Of course, most of them claim that he was rolling bhang. Besides, some know his history with weed. Perhaps, they linked it with that instance of illegal possession of Marijuana that led him to be imprisoned some years back.

Sarkodie is an interesting character. Besides his top-notch music, fans have come to love him more because of his humility. Early this week, the rapper posted some of his throwback photos with family and colleagues on Twitter. The rapper was trying to challenge his fans to work hard to achieve their goals. The old photos portray him to be originating from a very humble background like most of us. He compared his past life with his current life to motivate his fans that nothing is impossible in life. To him, all it takes to succeed in life is diligence, perseverance, and trusting in the process.
