Cristiano Ronaldo's lawyers admit the footballer paid Mayorga £300,000 despite assault denial

- Cristiano Ronaldo was accused by American model Kathryn Mayorga of assaulting her in an hotel

- The Juventus star denied the allegation claiming he did not assault the woman in Las Vegas

- His lawyers have now admitted that Mayorga got £300,000 for her to remain silent on the issue

Lawyers representing Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo have reportedly made it clear that the footballer paid American model Kathryn Mayorga £300,000 despite assault denial.

Mayorga and her legal team brought up a case of assault against Cristiano Ronaldo which the American claimed to have occurred in 2009 in an hotel.

She accused Cristiano Ronaldo of assaulting her in Las Vegas hotel in which the Juventus star denied to have done what he was alleged of.

The case was later dismissed recently with prosecutors claiming that the accusation cannot be proven beyond reasonable doubt.

And according to the report on UK Mirror, Ronaldo's lawyers acknowledged the £300,000 payment they initially made for the first time to Mayorga.

They agreed that the payment was made so as for the American woman to keep mum on the confidentiality of their dispute.

Meanwhile, US district judge Jennifer Dorsey stated that the settlement between Ronaldo and Mayorga which his lawyers have acknowledged will be kept out of public.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh had reported how prosecutors announced that Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo will not face criminal charges for an alleged hotel assault on American model Kathryn Mayorga.

Kathryn Mayorga accused Cristiano Ronaldo that the former Real Madrid star assaulted her in an hotel in 2009 when the footballer was playing for Manchester United.
